“Today the incidence of autism in the United States is 1 in 150 children, according to published CDC reports, a horrific increase from the end of the 1970s, when the ratio of autism in our society was 1 in 10,000, before the cell phone, wireless and similar technologies were introduced into the environment that produce radio waves”….”findings from more than five years of research on clients with autism, and other membrane sensitivity disorders”…”point to electromagnetic radiation stress, which increases with the proliferation of cell phone and wireless use, as one of the potentially major root causes of the explosion of autistic cases in the past two decades.”

“…Since we know that electrical currents at microvolt levels in the body are of vital importance, it makes a world of sense to research the potential of electromagnetic pollution in the etiology of disease. There is no doubt that we are seeing a severe epidemic rise of autism in children and the widespread use of electronics and wireless devices may well be a factor that has been ignored”…

…[There is a] “potentially groundbreaking link between electromagnetic pollution and the crippling of cellular detoxification. This may play a central role in autism as well as chronic illness of all types in all ages,”…

“…This toxic pollution entering the body is created from transmitting data as information carrying radio waves….”electromagnetic radiation as a cohort effect with heavy metals as a strong component of the etiology of autism.”

“…with more cell phone towers being erected, more cell phones in use globally and more WiFi technology utilized, the risk for autism continues to rise…..”The epidemiologic curve of autism parallels too closely with the increase usage of wireless devices ….”

The properties and effects of non-ionising radiations are very diverse. For the purpose of this Policy non-ionising radiations include:

Extremely low frequency (ELF) radiation

Electromagnetic radiation with frequencies in the range 0 Hz (static fields) to 3 kHz, including the 50 Hz electric and magnetic fields associated with the domestic mains electricity supply such as in domestic electrical appliances, electricity supply substations and overhead power lines.

Radiofrequency (RF) radiation

Electromagnetic radiation with frequencies in the range 3 kHz to 300 GHz, which is produced by artificial sources such as visual display units and mobile phones.

Microwave (MW) radiation

Electromagnetic radiation with frequencies in the range 1 GHz to 300 GHz, which is produced by artificial sources such as in microwave ovens and by microwave communication devices. (This radiation is now considered part of Radiofrequency radiation.)

Infrared (IR) radiation

Electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between 700 nm and 1 mm, which is present in sunlight and produced by artificial sources such as electric radiator heaters.

Visible light

Electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between 400 nm (blue) and 700 nm (red), which is present in sunlight and produced by numerous artificial sources, including lasers.

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation

Electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between 100 nm and 400 nm, which is present in sunlight as well as produced by artificial sources such as arc welding and sterilization lamps.

“Mobile telephones, television and radio transmitters and radar produce RF fields. These fields are used to transmit information over long distances and form the basis of telecommunications as well as radio and television broadcasting all over the world. Microwaves are RF fields at high frequencies in the GHz range. In microwaves ovens, we use them to quickly heat food.””At radio frequencies, electric and magnetic fields are closely interrelated and we typically measure their levels as power densities in watts per square metre (W/m2).”

“Key points:

  • The electromagnetic spectrum encompasses both natural and human-made sources of electromagnetic fields.
  • Frequency and wavelength characterise an electromagnetic field. In an electromagnetic wave, these two characteristics are directly related to each other: the higher the frequency the shorter the wavelength.
  • Ionizing radiation such as X-ray and gamma-rays consists of photons which carry sufficient energy to break molecular bonds. Photons of electromagnetic waves at power and radio frequencies have much lower energy that do not have this ability.
  • Electric fields exist whenever charge is present and are measured in volts per metre (V/m). Magnetic fields arise from current flow. Their flux densities are measured in microtesla (µT) or millitesla (mT).
  • At radio and microwave frequencies, electric and magnetic fields are considered together as the two components of an electromagnetic wave. Power density, measured in watts per square metre (W/m2), describes the intensity of these fields.
  • Low frequency and high frequency electromagnetic waves affect the human body in different ways.
  • Electrical power supplies and appliances are the most common sources of low frequency electric and magnetic fields in our living environment. Everyday sources of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields are telecommunications, broadcasting antennas and microwave ovens.”

"In art processes, noise can be caused by vibration, forging,

woodworking and other machinery, pneumatic tools, exhaust fans,

etc. In particular, old or improperly maintained equipment tends

to create more noise. In general, if someone has to raise their

voice to be heard by another person one to two feet away, then

the noise level is too high, especially if it is a steady noise....
Some studies have shown that woodworking teachers have a higher rate
of hearing loss than other teachers."

"Sound intensity is measured in decibels (dB), on a

logarithmic scale. In this scale, 90 dB is ten times more

intense than 80 dB, and 110 dB is ten times more intense than 100

dB. The sound intensity doubles for every increase of 3 dB,

showing that small increases in decibel levels can involve large

increases in sound intensity. Table 7-1 shows the decibel levels

of common sounds.

"Pneumatic and vibrating equipment such as chain saws can

also create problems due to vibration. Raynaud's phenomenon,

which is also called "white fingers" or "dead fingers", affects

the circulation of the fingers, causing them to turn white from

lack of blood and to lose sensation. Vibration can cause this,

particularly with simultaneous exposure to cold, for example,

from the air blast of pneumatic tools. This condition is

initially temporary, but can spread to the whole hand and cause

permanent damage."

“No EMF or RF interference
The very nature of fiber optic transmission makes it virtually immune to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference – and even lightning – which can be especially valuable in environments such as power-transmission or generating facilities, antenna or broadcast installations, or certain industrial environments.”

‘Manageable’ fear a handy safety tool

i_9602b00.gif

‘As fiber optics continues to spread throughout broadband communication plants, and new fiber equipment is beginning to feature higher power outputs, many safety and training professionals in the industry are re-energizing their fiber optic training efforts. Kevin Wilkes, director of field services for Integration Technologies, says that while fiber optic technology continues to change, fiber optic safety issues have not. In fact, he believes new technology only underscores the importance of long-term safety training that needs a healthy dose of fear to succeed.

“I think probably 99 percent of the concerns about safety involving fiber have not changed with technology,” says Wilkes. “I think they’ve been amplified by higher launch powers and connectivity. But, the basis is still there for problems with the eyes.

“It’s pretty straightforward…. Of course, there are other things to worry about. But they’re pretty trivial compared to the eyes. You instill what I call ‘manageable’ fear. And, there’s nothing wrong with that at all. Because too much comfort breeds carelessness.”

http://www.cedmagazine.com/article/CA6261762.html

Advantages of Fiber Optic Systems

“Fiber optic transmission systems – a fiber optic transmitter and receiver, connected by fiber optic cable – offer a wide range of benefits not offered by traditional copper wire or coaxial cable. These include:1. The ability to carry much more information and deliver it with greater fidelity than either copper wire or coaxial cable.

2. Fiber optic cable can support much higher data rates, and at greater distances, than coaxial cable, making it ideal for transmission of  serial digital data.

3. The fiber is totally immune to virtually all kinds of interference, including lightning, and will not conduct electricity. It can therefore   come in direct contact with high voltage electrical equipment and power lines. It will also not create ground loops of any kind.

4. As the basic fiber is made of glass, it will not corrode and is unaffected by most chemicals. It can be buried directly in most kinds of  soil or exposed to most corrosive atmospheres in chemical plants without significant concern.

5. Since the only carrier in the fiber is light, there is no possibility of a spark from a broken fiber. Even in the most explosive of atmospheres, there is no fire hazard, and no danger of electrical shock to personnel repairing broken fibers.

6. Fiber optic cables are virtually unaffected by outdoor atmospheric conditions, allowing them to be lashed directly to telephone poles or existing electrical cables without concern for extraneous signal pickup.

7. A fiber optic cable, even one that contains many fibers, is usually much smaller and lighter in weight than a wire or coaxial cable with similar information carrying capacity. It is easier to handle and install, and uses less duct space. (It can frequently be installed without ducts.)

8. Fiber optic cable is ideal for secure communications systems because it is very difficult to tap but very easy to monitor. In addition, there is absolutely no electrical radiation from a fiber.”

What About The Cordless Phones I Use In My House?

“Digital cordless phones and their base units emit pulsed microwaves and these can exceed the levels from an actual mobile phone in areas where the mobile phone service has good signal strengths. Holding a digital cordless (DECT) phone to their head will always expose the user to higher levels of microwave fields than they will ever experience (in public access areas) from a mobile phone base-station. Most DECT base units continuously emit pulsed microwave radiation even when no call is in progress. The level is typically still over 3 V/m half a meter away from the base unit and can be over 1 V/m in rooms directly above. These are higher field levels than those measured from a typical mobile phone mast. If you are concerned about the potential adverse health effects from microwave radiation, you might want to think carefully about whether you want a DECT phone in your house. If you want it to monitor incoming calls when you are, for instance, at the bottom of the garden, then answer the call briefly, and have the main conversation on a normal wired phone when you go back inside. All types of microwave exposure at the levels received from handset use have been shown to produce genetic damage inside blood cells. Radio frequency radiation has been used for a variety of covert purposes for some :considerable time. It was used to deter the women at Greenham Common, some of whom still suffer ongoing health problems. The Soviet’s irradiation of the US embassy in Moscow produced serous adverse health effects, including Ieukaemias and lymphomas, was the conclusion reached by a relatively recent re-analysis of the Lilienfeld report (Refs) based on information from USA Defense Intelligence Agency papers that only became fully available following the Freedom Information Act. Over 23 years ago the US was well aware of both cognitive and biochemical changes in the brains of adults exposed to pulsed microwave radiation. It is also interesting to note that the microwave frequencies the Russians used in many of their microwave weapon experiments were around 1800 MHz the same as is now used in Europe for GSMI800 / PCN and for DECT cordless phones.”

“There is a group of mammals, both Dolphins and Whales, that appear to be connecting for interaction with humans.  They are choosing from the vast waters which cover this planet, to swim VERY CLOSE to shores, making themselves available for interaction.  There are also some very specific energized areas of our planet to which people seem to be drawn.  In a heightened energy field, no different from a football stadium during a game, where energy is flowing on the field and in the stands, there is intense energy flow available. I have yet to meet the person who for whatever reason, went out and engaged with dolphins a few times, that hasn’t come away with a sense that they are “changed.” They feel changed because these mammals have at the very least in our collected data, been able to emit frequencies both audible, and we believe, beyond the threshold of audibility that induce in us a changed energy field, and changed brain wave state after interaction.  That, very simply put, is a healing interaction.  There is a change, and it registers in the individual as enjoyable and beneficial. The human organism achieves a sense of serenity, well being, reported loss of pain, release of anxiety, and relief from depression.  One other thing… It is fun.  So far, the fountain of youth seems to be the response pattern of joy, laughter…healing frequencies and these are being given to us as the gift of interaction, of sharing our fields.”

[There]..” is a website dedicated to a international community of people suffering adverse health effects from masts and antennas in the vicinity of their homes.

If you are a victim of mast radiation or strongly concerned about the issue, please write your story and share your thoughts on this website! Please click on “Tell your story” in the left hand menu and create an online case history file. You don’t need to register with this website to participate and no personal information will be recorded. You only give out as much information as you wish to.
You can also email your story to us at: story@mast-victims.org and we will put it online.

The purpose of this website is to bring together people from all over the world that have become victims of insensitive mast and antenna siting. Telecommunications companies are drowning us in radiation and they are in a state of complete denial on whether these masts and antennas have any negative health impact on the population. Credible scientific research shows that especially mobile phone mast radiation is harmful and people are suffering. Some people have even been forced to abandon their homes after becoming ill from radiation.

This has got to change. So far only few people have come forward against the telecommunication industry and those who have deserve to be known and heard.

http://www.mast-victims.org is built as a community where people living under the threat of masts and antennas can record their case histories and share their thoughts online.”
