Study charts role of EMF’s in Alzheimer’s

“Electromagnetic fields may play a role in the development of Alzheimer’s disease, according to a study led by Eugene Sobel, professor of preventive medicine and neurology.

Based on two studies conducted in Finland and one in the U.S., the researchers found that people with high occupational exposure to EMFs are at least three times as likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease as those without significant exposure.

Alzheimer’s patients studied were late onset (65 years or older) with no history of the disease among immediate relatives, to account for genetic factors of the disease. The results of the study are published in the September Journal of Epidemiology.”
