Mobile phones pose risk to young brains

Neurosurgeons yesterday warned parents to prevent their children from excessive contact with mobile telephones, warning that overexposure could seriously damage adolescents’ brains and even lead to tumors….can have serious consequences as their brains are still developing…neurosurgeons’ conference in Halkidiki this weekend….Panayiotis Selviaridis, president of the Hellenic Neurosurgical Society, said.

Brain tumors constitute the second most common type of abnormal tissue growth in children after leukemia, according to experts, Selviaridis said.
