Health Issues Associated With Radiation

The subject of electrosensitivity from electromagnetic frequencies is causing a great deal of controversy. However, there is enough anecdotal evidence to support funding new research in this field concerning EMF’s.

Cell phones towers are being blamed for a considerable amount of radiation, and health issues are being attributed to it. The health issues are showing up with men and women, and particularly children. Because children’s skulls are thinner, some researchers believe they are more in danger.

The health problems that have been linked in one way or another include Attention Deficit Disorders, Aging, Alzheimer’s, Autism, Aspergers, changes in blood, passing the blood brain barrier with toxins, changes in blood pressure, brain cancer, breast cancer, other kinds of cancers, cataracts, chances in cells, chromosomal damage, dizziness, changes in DNA, earaches, changes in EEG, all kinds of reactions in people who have electromagnetic sensitivity, eye cancer, fatigue, changes in genes, headaches, weakness in the heart, heat effects, moving heavy metals into the brain, issues with the immune system, leukemia, lymphoma, MCS, memory loss, miscarriages, effects on nerves, neuromas, adn neurons, development of oncogenes, pressure, risk of disease in general, various sensations, effects on signaling enzymes, stress, sweat, tumors, and changes in vision.

Because these health problems could have a multitude of causes, it is impossible to zero in on radiation as the one cause. However, the radiation issue is complex. It seems to have an indirect effect on the cell membrane and signaling enzymes so that the body is weakened in ways that may be unpredictable and different for different people.

It is these differences that makes some of the research so conflicting, and some of the reasons that the problem is so incidious. It is affecting people in ways we may not truly understand.

The following health issues, and more, have been associated with cell phone radiation. There is nothing definitive about a direct cause and effect. In fact, it appears that radiation affects the cells in subtle ways that may show a variety of symptoms.

7. ndey - March 20, 2007

u are not alone . many people all around the world are suffering from one illness or another because of radiation. i have been suffering from electrosensitivyf or the past five years and it is only about a month ago that i managed to diagnose myself .since there is no cure yet , i would advise u to avoid all electrical appliance that emmit radiation, your symptoms would be much less.

I have a friend who is suffering from hyper-sensitivity to electrical or electromagnetic transmissions from all types of devices (cell phones, computers, T.V. and radio, etc.). Lately she has become sensitive to touching anything metal. She has always been hypersensitive to sun rays – she tans and burns within a few minutes of exposure. She is now unable to work – her job requires her to use a computer, copiers, cell phone and constant exposure to EM fields. Her employer has referred her request for disability over to an attorney. Her symptoms include: increasing pain and tingling in her skin, pain and hair loss in her pelvic area, disorientation. She is finding it difficult to find medical practitioners that either believe her or who are unable or unwilling to access information or viable referral sources to help her alleviate her symptoms or find a cure. She is open to alternative treatments. Are you aware of any traditional or non-traditional practitioners, clinics, or support groups that would help her get her life back?

Symptoms may be from pituitary insufficiency and/or DHEA-S deficiency and/or adrenal insufficency. May be independeptn problems, or one triggers the other, etc.

For pituitary test, best in country per my extended research is Dr Maria Fleseriu (or colleague in same office)

much information to share. Clusters of specific diagnosed problems and clusters of symptoms associated with this. If interested, contact me.
Suggestion to prepare friend to contact dr’s office in case of questions: Have friend make 2 lists before contacting dr. 1 list of all formal diagnoses, no matter how minor or common some may seem. Have a 2nd list of all SYMPTOMS, regardless of which diagnosis any are allegedly associated with.

Can certain people hear low or high frequencies from EMF’s or RF’s?
If so, are they more likely to suffer from health problems?
Are there any class action lawsuits occuring against Telecommunication companies?

Connie Curts - November 5, 2009

No U.S. class action lawsuits. However, before USA started safety or health tests, Sweden had a few tests showing health hazards and risks. Suggest you research Swedish studies. Motivcation for my interest is that I did civilian job same as husband’s military job, and we independently became ill over time with almost same health problems (before we met and married). Both exposed to EMF and some ELF. Only career paths in common.

11. Cynicus - June 6, 2007

A phenomenon known as microwave hearing allows relatively weak electromag fields to be sensed as a tinnitus-like sound in affected individuals. The ever growing network of mobile comms. sites each using perpetual transmission and incorporating low frequency frame pulsing means that this condition is widespread and difficult to avoid.

There’s a WHO factsheet which gives an outline on it. However it is not accurate as to the extent or probable mechanisms underlying it. This is due to the establishment view, geared to denial of the biological effects of radiation below the thermal level.

You can learn more for yourself by internet searching ‘microwave hearing’.

I am writing in regards to living close to hydro towers and lines, within 5oo feet. I was wondering if there is any evidence regarding health problems from EMF’s relating to these lines and towers. We are being put into thos position as a hydro corridor is coming very close to our property and my husband and i are in our late 60’s and would like to be healthy in our senior years.

17. Ian - November 21, 2007

Ever since Australian introduced 3G mobile phones I have had a constant ringing in my ears. None of the authorities are interested. The frequency seems to be around 16000Hz. I found a good suggestion here, and may replace my amalgm fillings.

18. Kris - December 4, 2007

Can someone please explain why even looking at a HDTV makes me sick – nauseated and with a headache – if I look at one even if I just pass by one in the store?

I’m not weird in any way, and I’m a technophile and I love electronics and have no trouble – but something about these tvs has a physical effect on me and they are now everywhere.

19. Constantine - January 24, 2008

i dont understand the whole radiation thing…and if it is such a harmful thing, then why isnt it being shown on the news and other sites that we need to get new phones, or stop using phones or something. COME ON….gosh. i dont think everyone is realizing the harmful radiation, because people arent telling. SO is it something we need to really consider??

Dr Jon Sunstrom - May 28, 2009

If you go to Illuminati news, you will get the big picture. Media is controlled by a shadow government.

Connie Curts - November 5, 2009

Yes, it is serious issue. Yet costly to change infrastructure to eliminate EMF applications, and citizens would demand medical care by businesses and/or government(s). Been much resistence over the years, yet more info is coming out. Stay tuned.

22. Dr. Gurpreet Singh - November 23, 2008

As body consists of lot many cells. The smallest structure is cell so definitely it’s the living creature and is getting energy from blood or the things we eat for its survival. So the every cell moves at its own frequency. So when suffering from disease than their frequency may be different. Our body vibrates at net constant frequency f0 so the cells may be, every cell may have slightly different frequency f1. But the frequency of the tumor may be different f2. The chemotherapy and radiotherapy what we are giving the effect on body may not be same. As the idea of giving the medicine is that if f2 we can make equivalent to f1 then our body will not be suffering from any disease. The medicine we are giving to the patients is of same constituents irrespective of seeing the frequency of constituent cells in the individual patients. If we try to make the f2 around f1 then may be even pain reduces very much. So one should try to focus on those medicines which brings f2 equivalent to f1 irrespective of medicines whether these are chemical, herbal or other medicines even in terms of music, spiritual prayer etc.Dr. gurpreet Singh, Dept. of MRI, Institute of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, University of Greifswald, Greifswald, Germany…..guraiims@gmail.com

hi…
i think tou are a good writer
good luck

24. Pete Braven-Giles - March 21, 2009

Dr. Gurpreet Singh raises an interesting point in pointing out that a healthy body does indeed have a natural resonance as can be seen in many medical books. The major issue I have with what is seen as the accepted frequency is that it was established using very limited equipment way back in the 1930’s!
Electronics has come a very long way since then but amazingly, has not been given the exercise in the fields of the EEG which still limits our understanding. However, if one takes hold of the tip of any oscilloscope probe, the first thing that you notice on the screen is the frequency of the mains electrical supply which is an effect of induction into the body by wiring in the vicinity (50- 60Hz). If that massive level of frequency is filtered out, instead of getting nothing, one then will see very small amounts of much higher frequencies. It’s a pretty crude example but it does prove that we do indeed pick up all manner of electromagnetic radiation from anything carrying an alternating electrical current close to us.
Don’t get paranoid about this, the sun emits all manner of frequencies and so does every star in the sky thus mankind has been exposed to massive amounts of these emissions since we first appeared on planet Earth and survived in spite of them!
Radiotherapy uses emissions that are far higher in frequency that anything we normally encounter, those frequencies act on material at an atomic level and hopefully, none of you will ever have need of such drastic medical intervention.
Interestingly, I have noticed something about the ‘resonant’ frequency that Dr. Gurpreet Singh refers to. It is understood to be around 7Hz (7 cycles per second) and here’s the odd bit,.. in music, we find it easier to tune an instrument to the note of A at 440Hz and if you divide that by several octaves, you come down to 6.875Hz which is one octave below the generally accepted level of the lowest note most humans can hear.
Chants in many societies also happens to fall naturally on the same note of A. Thus it would seem that our bodies are driven by many frequencies and harmonics well beyond what has been medically accepted since the birth of that concept in neuroscience. Maybe if we looked for the other frequencies that might not be just induced by outside sources but actually emitting from the nervous system, the treatment of many ailments such as viruses and tumours could become a lot more accurate with far less side effects?
As our bodies are mostly water and carbon based, massive electromagnetic fields will affect the hydrogen atoms within us, as is seen when using that very effect to obtain an MRI scan. To cause permanent damage to our bodies would take exposure to very high levels of electromagnetic radiation for prolonged periods of time. Feeling better away from a city is more likely to be stress related but feeling unwell under power lines does warrant better investigation and research.
Basically it comes down to moderation is cool, over doing anything might be asking for trouble! Even drinking too much water will give you big problems but try to live without it!

Connie Curts - November 5, 2009

Excellent comment, too. Please see website http://cellphonesafety.wordpress.com/category/0-4hz/ for list of all brain functions that operate under 10Hz.

I know of less-public applications that function in the same extremely low frequency range. Been searching 2 years to find valid research for biological effects. Sparse. I use university library’s access to medical databases to continue looking.

“Miso is another great thing for radiation, Miso is a traditional Japanese Food, however it originated in China, it’s from beans or grain, or you can use both, in making Miso you will need a combination of sea salt, soybeans and barley or rice the ingredients is left to ferment for years, after its cooked then moulded with Koji it is then left for the fermentation to begin. After years you will get the traditional Japanese Miso this is a thick paste that can be used as a soup.”

I have been working on a construction project that had T-Mobile cellular tower above the roof of the building under renovation. It was only recent that I have been informed that this cellular tower emmit waves that is harmful to people and that I or the subcontractor installing aluminum sign can not install while the cellular tower is active due to these radio waves. I would like to know if there are any regulations that require these companies to post warning signs for the publics awareness for these cellular towers.

Connie Curts - November 5, 2009

I believe there are, as I have previously worked in the telecommunications field. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates all telecommunications applications across all frequencies. There are regulations mandated by Congress to control what these companies do. I suggest you contact them on phone or website http://www.fcc.gov.
